Berrit workflow

Stack

A stack is a chain of commits. Send it from Git or jj and review each commit as its own change.

Stack / main

  1. mainBase branch
  2. #142Extract parser
  3. #143Add range filter
The filter builds on the parser, which lands first.

Send the chain in one command

Run berrit send. Berrit follows the commits’ parent links and gives each change its own link, diff and revision history.

Review each piece as it becomes ready

Review the parser while work continues on the filter. After changes land, run berrit sync to update your local stack.

Declare dependencies across repositories

Explicit dependencies order changes beyond the commit graph. A web change can wait for an API change in another repository in the same organisation.

Send your first stack.
